17th work anniversary

In 2007 I joined Belgacom Skynet as a junior PHP developer. This was the start of my web developer career.

And what a ride it was… I learned so much from my colleagues and the team spirit was amazing! It’s still one of the best memories I have.

But sometimes there’s a gap between the employees and the management. Because our management back then was not how it should be, a lot of people left because of their decisions.

Laurent, a colleague at Skynet, also announced he resigned and mentioned I should give his friend a call to see if there was still room for a junior web developer at this new place he was going to: Keytrade Bank. A digital bank!

Young as I was, I picked up the phone and called him. In the end, I was number 19 to resign from my department at Skynet. I started working at Keytrade Bank when I was 19.

No IT degree, just a passion for building websites that started at the age of 12. With passion and commitment you can get far.

Going from junior web developer > senior web developer > frontend chapter lead > tech lead of a feature team. And I still learn something new every day. Be it at Keytrade or at home.

Last month (November 2025) marked my 17th work anniversary at Keytrade Bank. Starting my 18th year soon. Up to the next one!
